Event Overview
The Norris Insurance Converse 5K is a road running event held in Converse, Indiana. It takes place in front of the First Farmers Bank in the downtown area.
Event Distances
Participants can choose from three different events:
- A timed 5K run.
- A 5K walk.
- A shorter Fun Run, described as "not-quite-a-mile".
Registration and Fees
Advance registration for the 5K run or walk costs $8.00, while registration on the day of the race costs $10.00. The entry fee for the Fun Run is $1.00. A T-shirt is included with registration for the 5K events but not for the Fun Run.
Awards and Age Groups
Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers in the 5K run, as well as to the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups range from 14 & Under to 70 & Over, with an additional category for Heavyweight runners (over 185 lb.). Walkers also receive trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers.
