About the race
Consent Event is an annual community fundraiser held each May at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park. The event is organised as a family fun run and walk with two distance options, and draws hundreds of community members, families, friends, and pets.
The fundraiser supports work to prevent sexual violence and to assist survivors. Funds raised in 2026 totalled $40,791 and were directed to frontline programs and services, including counselling, police and court support, and education. The event has run for multiple years; the 12th annual edition took place in 2026 and the 2027 edition is scheduled for May 29, 2027.
