Consent Event

The Saffron Centre presents the 11th Annual Consent Event, a family-friendly fun run and walk held at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park, AB. The event is described as the agency's largest of the year and supports frontline programs and services with a fundraising goal of $25,000.

For 2026 the organizers announced new 2 km and 5 km loop routes. Participants may choose to go through an optional colour-bombing station sponsored by CDC Inc. The neon powder used in the station is made from cornstarch and food-grade dye, and is described as safe for skin, clothes and dogs and washable with water.

Published event information lists registration opening on February 1, 2026 and an early-bird registration deadline of March 30, 2026. The 2025 event recorded 230 participants and generated over 49,000 social media impressions.
