Consent Event 2026
The Consent Event 2026 is a community gathering held at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park, Alberta. This event is organized to raise awareness about sexual violence. All proceeds support the Saffron Centre, a non-profit charitable organization that has provided specialized services, including counselling, education, and justice programs, since 2000.
Participants can choose from various distances and formats:
- 2 km walk: a family-oriented walking route.
- 5 km run: a dedicated running course.
- Virtual walk/run: an option to participate remotely at any time between May 20 and May 31.
Individuals who complete their registration on or before April 19 are guaranteed an event t-shirt, while those registering after this date are not. The event includes a scheduled warm-up session and utilizes various local sponsorships to support its fundraising goals.
