Conquer the Castle - North Chagrin Reservation
Conquer the Castle is a fall trail event at North Chagrin Reservation in Mayfield, Ohio, on November 7, 2026. The event welcomes runners, hikers, and ruckers on marked trails with volunteer support and multiple distance options.

The course is a loop of 16.7 km (10.35 mi). Distances are completed by repeating the loop: 100K is six loops, 50K is three loops, 20 Mile is two loops, 10 Mile is one loop, and the 5K uses the first 5 km of the course. Aid stations are located at the start/finish area and at Mile 5 and provide water, electrolyte drink, pretzels, candy, PB&J, salt tabs, and some gels; participants are advised to bring personal nutrition if preferred.
Participants receive event items including a custom race shirt or sweatshirt option, a finisher medal, a race bib, and chip timing. Top three female and male finishers are recognized for several distances. 100K finishers receive a belt buckle. Several distances offer an optional hill climb near Squire's Castle for a knighting recognition; the climb is 0.15 miles each way and provides a token to carry to the finish for event swag.
