Conquer the Castle Trail Race
Conquer the Castle is a fall trail race held on November 7, 2026 at AB Williams Memorial Woods in North Chagrin Reservation, Mayfield, Ohio. The event offers multiple distances, ruck divisions, and an optional hill climb behind Squire's Castle.
Distances
- 100K (6 loops of the 16.7 km / 10.35 mi loop)
- 50K (3 loops)
- 20 Mile (2 loops)
- 10 Mile (1 loop)
- 5K (uses the first 5 km of the course)
- Ruck divisions for selected distances and a 10 Mile Hike
The course is a 16.7 km (10.35 mi) loop with a 15 hour event cutoff. Aid stations are located at the start/finish and at mile 5 and provide water, electrolyte drink, pretzels, candy, PB&J, salt tabs, and other items; participants are advised to carry personal fuel as desired.
Event features include chip timing, a custom race shirt or optional sweatshirt, a custom finisher medal, race bibs, post-race snacks, and awards for the top three female and male finishers in the listed distances. 100K finishers receive a belt buckle.
Be Knighted is optional for 100K, 50K, 20 Mile, 20 Mile Ruck, 10 Mile, 10 Mile Ruck, and 10 Mile Hike. The marked hill climb behind Squire's Castle is 0.15 miles each way; participants receive a token at the top to carry to the finish to claim the related swag.
