Concord Firecracker 5K
The Concord Firecracker 5K is a running event taking place in Concord, New Hampshire. Held during the July 4th holiday weekend, this race also serves as part of the celebrations for the 300th birthday of the city of Concord. The event is sponsored by Delta Dental and supports the Run to Home Base program and the GSEP team.
Participants compete on a 3.1 mile (5K) course that starts and finishes at 2 Delta Drive. The route is USATF certified and described as flat and fast. Financial prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in the following amounts:
- First place receives $300
- Second place receives $200
- Third place receives $100
In addition to the overall top finishers, age group awards are available for participants. Registration for the event includes a fee, and on-site registration is available on the morning of the race prior to the start. The awards ceremony is held shortly after the conclusion of the run.
