Columbus Marathon
The Columbus Marathon is a race weekend held in Ohio's capital city each October. The program features multiple events across the weekend, an expo and packet pickup, and support services such as parking, volunteer coordination, and resources for spectators and families.
Events included in the weekend:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- 1 Mile for adults and kids
- Kids Run
- Gold Medal Challenge
Nationwide Children's Hospital is the title beneficiary of the main races. The partnership reached its 15th year in 2026, and the event has raised more than $15 million for the hospital. A portion of this total comes from fundraising by participants in the Children's Champions program.
Additional resources and information available around the event cover elite athlete information, safety and security, training materials, results, spirit awards, and logistics such as travel and hotels. The weekend is presented as a multi-event race festival with distinct running options and fundraising programs tied to the hospital beneficiary.
