Columbus 10K presented by Barbasol
The Columbus 10K is established as the oldest road race in Columbus, Ohio. Originally founded in 1977 as the Citizen-Journal 10K, the event marks its 49th year in 2026. The in-person race takes place at North Bank Park in downtown Columbus and serves as a featured event in the RUNColumbus Race Series.
The event offers several participation options to accommodate various athletes:
- 10K (Run and Walk options)
- 10K Visually Impaired Division (includes sighted guide support)
- 0.5 Mile Kids Run
- 10K Virtual (held during the first week of June)
The 0.5 Mile Kids Run is designed as an introduction to road racing for younger participants. All participants in the kids event receive a specific finisher's medal upon completion. For those in the Visually Impaired Division, there is an option to register a sighted guide at no additional fee.
The 10K course is open to both runners and walkers. Participants who cannot attend the event at North Bank Park may participate in the 10K Virtual event, which allows runners to complete the distance at a location of their choice and submit results online. The physical event address is located at 311 W Long St, Columbus, OH. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
