Columbus 10K presented by Barbasol
The Columbus 10K is a long-established 10-kilometer road race held in downtown Columbus, Ohio, with the gathering point at North Bank Park (311 W Long St, Columbus, OH 43215). The 2026 edition is the 49th annual running of the event. The race traces its origin to the Citizen-Journal 10K first held in 1977 and is described as the oldest road race in Columbus.
Event formats include in-person and virtual participation. A Visually Impaired division is available; each VI athlete may register one sighted guide and there is a separate free registration option for sighted guides. A team entry called Team Heart & Sole is listed as teammates only and is offered without fee.
A short Kids Run introduces children to road racing. The Kids Run covers half a mile and participants receive a finisher's medal.
Registration fees vary by entry type in 2026, with the primary 10K entry shown at $45.00 and the Kids Run entry shown at $5.00. The virtual version of the 10K is scheduled across June 1 to June 7, 2026, allowing participants to complete the distance remotely and submit results.
