Event Overview
The Color Pop 5K Fun Run is a community-oriented event taking place at Hawk Island Park in Lansing. Hosted by the Women’s Council of REALTORS-Lansing Network, this activity is designed for participants of various ages and abilities. The route features several color zones where participants encounter different pops of color as they move. Proceeds from the event are used to raise funds for the VFW Home in Eaton Rapids.
Participation Details
The event is open to participants aged 6 and older. Individuals may choose to complete the course in several ways:
- 5k Fun Run/Walk
The event accommodates those who wish to walk, run, or roll. While the primary focus is on the communal experience, chip timing is provided by the Michigan Running Foundation for those who want to track their performance. Results, including overall and age group placements, are provided via text and online. Age groups for timing categorization range from under 14 to over 80.
Logistics and Amenities
Check-in is located at the Red Tail Pavilion within the park. Participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal, though shirt sizes are only guaranteed for those who register by mid-March. Refreshments are provided on-site. There is a parking fee associated with the venue, which is processed during registration unless the participant holds a specific county parking pass.
