COLOR ME PINK 5K, FUN WALK, AND GENTLEMEN'S DASH 2026
The event takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Lackawanna County Courthouse Square in Scranton, PA. It marks the 13th year of the Paint the Planet Pink series and supports fundraising efforts with a stated goal of $200,000 and a reported raised amount of $0.00 at the time of posting. Participants are offered the option to create personal pledge pages and there are fundraising leaderboards.
The program includes a timed 5K race that uses bibs and chip timing, a family fun walk, and a Gentlemen's Dash. Registration fees shown include mandatory charges; published prices include $39.44 for the Color Me Pink 5K and $28.74 for the fun walk for the period shown. Teams and wearing of pink are encouraged.
Course details note that the 5K start is on Linden Street between N. Washington and Adams, proceeds up Wyoming Avenue, turns onto Marion Street, continues down N. Washington Avenue, and finishes back on Linden Street. Walkers are directed to turn onto Pine Street and return via N. Washington and Linden, using sidewalks. Runners will use the street and are advised to stay to the right. Volunteers with signage will be positioned along the route.
