Ohio 529 CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run
The Redlegs Run is an annual event held in Cincinnati, designed to raise funds for the Reds Community Fund. The 25th edition of this event takes place at the Great American Ball Park. Participants can choose from several distance options that cater to different age groups and preferences.
The courses for the 10 km and 5 km events begin near the intersection of Mehring Way and Broadway Street. These routes guide participants through downtown Cincinnati before concluding inside the ballpark near home plate. A 1-mile option is also available, which features a turnaround by Paycor Stadium and a finish on the ball field. Younger participants aged 10 and under can participate in the Gapper's Kids Fun Run, which takes place on the stadium warning track.
Registrants receive several amenities, including:
- A custom race medal and event shirt.
- Professional chip-timing for the 5 km and 10 km categories.
- Access to a post-race party in the First Star Fan Zone.
- One ticket to a specific Reds home game at the View Level.
The top three male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km races are recognized during a pre-game ceremony at a later date. Additionally, the overall winners for these distances are invited to throw a ceremonial first pitch. Awards are also provided for the top male and female runners in 14 different age categories, ranging from under 10 to over 70. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
