Cocoa Classic Charity 5K - St. Louis
The Cocoa Classic Charity 5K takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Washington University in St. Louis, Danforth Campus. The route runs through the campus grounds, which cover 169 acres of Collegiate Gothic limestone and granite, arranged around quadrangles by Cope and Stewardson and originally planned by the Olmsted firm. The campus is an accredited arboretum and displays notable trees in early November.
The course passes through areas connected to the 1904 Olympic Games, with Francis Olympic Field noted as the main stadium from those Games and described as the oldest modern Olympic stadium still in use.
Timing is chip based using ChronoTrack systems with a single-use B-tag mounted on the back of the race bib. Every finisher receives a Cocoa Classic shirt. Awards include a Bose portable speaker for overall male and overall female winners, plus Cocoa Classic medals for overall male and female finishers, masters male and female, and age group winners.
At the finish there are hot cocoa and light food items including cookies from Insomnia Cookies, cereal bars, bananas, and samples from LMNT and Poppi. On site, Bowood Lane Jewelry will offer the Collin Bracelet with a portion of proceeds supporting mental health awareness and suicide prevention. WashU Health Promotion Services will provide information on counseling and the Bandana Project. On the Sunday of the race, campus parking is open to visitors; free parking is available in unreserved spaces and in the Danforth University Center garage with no permit required. Race-day bib pickup is available at the start; early pickup information will be posted closer to the event. Sponsors include Bose and LMNT.
