Cocky Trot 5K
The Cocky Trot 5K takes place on April 25, 2026 in Columbia, South Carolina. The event starts and finishes at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds, 901 George Rogers Blvd, Columbia, SC 29201. Due to construction for the Williams-Brice Reimagined project, the course is different from previous years; it runs through Gamecock Park and the indoor and outdoor practice football facilities and does not go through Williams-Brice Stadium.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K race with 18 and over and 17 and under categories
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk with age categories
Registration includes a commemorative race shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, chip timing, a personal results page with a personal finish line video, access to purchase discounted football and baseball tickets, and post-race refreshments and snacks. Information about purchasing discounted tickets will be provided closer to race day.
The event is listed as rain or shine. There are no refunds for this race. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
