About the race
Coastal Quest Adventure Race is a two-day adventure racing event on Victoria’s Surf Coast, staged 1–2 May 2027 around Anglesea and Lorne. The event combines trekking, mountain biking and kayaking across coastal, river and forest terrain. Teams are made up of two people and may race one day or both days as the Epic stage race. Kayaks and kayaking equipment are supplied with entry.
Entry offers four course options with approximate distances:
- Classic Long (Saturday, Lorne): trek 10–12 km, mountain bike 20–35 km, kayak 5–8 km
- Classic Short (Sunday, Anglesea): trek 5–6 km, mountain bike 15–20 km, kayak 4–5 km
- Novice (Sunday, Anglesea): trek 4–5 km, mountain bike 10–12 km, kayak 2–3 km
- Epic (Saturday + Sunday): trek 15–18 km, mountain bike 35–55 km, kayak 9–13 km
Entry pricing is tiered with early bird, standard and late windows. Early bird rates start from AUD 119 per person for Sunday courses; combined two-day Epic pricing is listed separately. All prices include GST, kayaks and kayaking equipment. The race locations include clifftop trails, the Anglesea River, Bass Strait open water and Otway Ranges terrain. The organiser notes that early bird prices rise in stages and that bike hire is available during registration. Event information and course details are provided to registered teams before the race.
