Coastal Quest Adventure Race
The Coastal Quest is a multi-sport event held over two days in Anglesea, Victoria. The race takes place across the landscapes of the Victorian Surf Coast and incorporates three primary disciplines: trekking, mountain biking, and kayaking. Participants can choose to enter for a single day or commit to the full weekend journey.
The event features several distinct course options to accommodate different experience levels:
- Classic Long: This course takes place on Saturday.
- Classic Short: A shorter version of the classic format held on Sunday.
- Novice: A beginner-friendly course scheduled for Sunday.
- Epic: A stage race that combines both Classic days into a single competition, starting with a prologue on Friday afternoon.
The event headquarters and registration are located at 78 Great Ocean Rd in Anglesea. Logistics for participants include a designated transition area (TA) for bike drop-offs and a shuttle bus service to transport athletes from the headquarters to the start line for the Saturday sessions. Presentations are held at the conclusion of each racing day to recognize the finishers.
The schedule is designed to facilitate a multi-day racing experience, with activities beginning Friday afternoon and concluding Sunday afternoon. Participants are required to bring specific equipment suitable for trekking, cycling, and paddling in a coastal environment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
