Coach JJ Gomez Memorial 5K on the Fairway
The Coach JJ Gomez Memorial 5K on the Fairway takes place on May 30, 2026 at Max Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, Texas. The event includes a timed 5K run and walk and a separate 1K walker option.

Children age 6 and under must have adult supervision on the course. Strollers are allowed and are asked to start toward the back of the field. Pets are not permitted on the course; exceptions for certified service animals will be considered case by case and participants with service animals should contact race staff.
Free parking is available inside the golf course. Packet pickup is scheduled the Friday before race day at L&F Distributors in Laredo; shirts will be distributed at packet pickup to the first 200 participants, with sizes not guaranteed. Onsite race day registration is available and a late fee applies on the day of the event.
Timing for the 5K is provided by Swift Timing. Participants receive a race bib with a disposable timing chip attached during packet pickup. Overall awards use gun or chip time and age group awards are based on chip time. Age categories cover youth and adult ranges, including a 60 and over category.
