The Clowne Half Marathon takes place in Clowne, Chesterfield on 23 November 2025. The event is sponsored by John S. Shackleton Ltd and supports Ashgate Hospice with £1 donated from each entry. The race distance is 13.1 Miles. The event is affiliated and the entry fees are: affiliated £30.00 and unaffiliated £32.00. The race has an entry limit of 900 and the published remaining places are 42.
Course, entries and facilities
The course is a single 13.1-mile road lap with an undulating profile that runs from Clowne centre through surrounding villages and returns to Clowne. The finish is at Clowne Community Centre, S43 4PL. Chip timing is used and a hoody is provided to all half marathon finishers. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs and has a cut-off time of 3 hours.
Facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets and a baggage store. Limited changing facilities are available at the start; there are no showers. Baggage deposited at the start is transferred to the finish. Race HQ is The Arc, High Street, Clowne, Chesterfield, S43 4JY; no parking is available at race HQ. Entry on the day is not available. Numbers posted for entries before 9am Monday 10th November will be sent about two weeks before the event; later entries collect numbers on the day.
