Clowne Half Marathon 2026
The Clowne Half Marathon is a single-lap road race taking place in Clowne, Chesterfield. The course covers a distance of 13.1 miles and features an undulating profile that winds through the town and surrounding villages. Organized by the Clowne Road Runners, the event has an entry limit of 900 participants. Runners must be at least 17 years old on the day of the race to participate.
The race begins at The Arc Leisure Centre and finishes at the Clowne Community Centre. Because the start and finish are in different locations, a baggage transfer service is provided for participants. The event uses chip timing to ensure accurate results for all runners. There is a course cut-off time of 3 hours, and participants may be asked to withdraw if they are unable to complete the distance within this timeframe.
Course facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. While no showers are available, there are limited changing facilities at the start. Ample off-site parking is provided, as there is no parking at the Race HQ. Participants receive a finisher’s hoody as a reward, with sizes selected during the entry process. The event supports the Tiny Tim Trust by donating one pound from every entry fee to the charity. Under UKA rules, the use of headphones is restricted to bone-conducting versions only.
