Joe Duffy Group Clontarf Half Marathon - Autumn Edition
The Joe Duffy Group Clontarf Half Marathon - Autumn Edition is a coastal half marathon with start and finish at EastPoint Business Park in Clontarf. The out-and-back route runs along Clontarf Promenade, crosses Bull Island and returns, offering views of Dublin Bay and Howth Head.
The course is professionally measured and certified and uses chip timing. Terrain is mixed with a reported maximum elevation of 93 m; the route includes long flat sections suitable for steady pacing. Water stations are located at about 4.3 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km and provide cups of water. Toilets are available at the start/finish area and along the route at approximately 4 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km.
Event services include a finisher's medal, finish-line refreshments and goodies, a photowall, and a T-shirt swap zone for unworn shirts on race day. A secure bag drop is provided beside the start/finish area; participants are asked to use the tear-off label on their race number and to limit bags to one small waterproof bag. Race numbers are posted or must be collected depending on registration timing; overseas and incomplete addresses require collection.
Parking options include EastPoint multi-storey car parks and Molloy & Sherry car park. The course supports walkers via a dedicated walkers wave. Headphones are permitted but participants must remain aware of marshals, Gardaí, pedestrians and other runners. Results are published after the event and event photos are emailed the Monday following the race. Age restrictions follow Athletics Ireland legislation and refunds are not available.
