About the race
The Joe Duffy Group Clontarf Half Marathon – Autumn Edition is a coastal half marathon held on 14 November 2026 with start and finish at EastPoint Business Park in Clontarf, Dublin. The out-and-back course runs along Clontarf Promenade, crosses Bull Island, and returns along the same coastal route, offering extensive views of Dublin Bay and Howth Head. The course is professionally measured and certified and described as flat and scenic. Event services and race features include chip timing, a finisher’s medal, finish-line refreshments and goodies, a photowall, and a bespoke event t-shirt.
Participants receive 15% off at Life Style Sports. Toilets are available at the start/finish and along the route at approximately 4 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km. Water is provided in cups at stations located at about 4.3 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km. Logistics note that parking is available in EastPoint multi-storey car parks and nearby Molloy & Sherry car park; drivers are advised to arrive before 09:00 due to road closures.
Public transport options include DART (Clontarf Station, about a 15-minute walk) and Dublin Bus (Route N4); covered bike parking is available. A secure bag drop operates beside the start/finish area for one small waterproof bag per participant. Showers and changing facilities are not provided. Waves are organised by estimated finish time.
A cut-off time is enforced; the event information specifies a cut-off of 3 hours 30 minutes. Headphones are permitted but runners must remain aware of marshals, Gardaí, pedestrians, and other participants. Age restrictions follow Athletic Ireland legislation.
