Clontarf Half Marathon – Summer Edition
The Clontarf Half Marathon Summer Edition takes place on 3 July 2027 with the start and finish at EastPoint Business Park. The out and back course runs along Clontarf Promenade, across Bull Island, and returns, offering views of Dublin Bay and Howth Head. The route is mixed terrain with a maximum elevation of 93 m and is professionally measured and certified. Chip timing is used for accurate results.
Entries include a finisher medal and a bespoke event t shirt, finish line refreshments and goodies, a photowall, and a 15 percent participant discount at Life Style Sports. Toilets are available at the start and finish and approximately at 4 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km. Water stations with cups are at 4.3 km, 8.5 km, 14 km and 17.5 km.
Logistics note parking is available in EastPoint multi storey car parks and Molloy and Sherry car park. Public transport options include DART to Clontarf station, a 15 minute walk, and Dublin Bus route N4; covered bike parking is provided. A supervised bag drop is located beside the start and finish area and accepts one small waterproof bag with the tear off label from the race number. Participants must present their race number to retrieve bags.
There is a strict cut off time of 3 hours 30 minutes. Showers and changing facilities are not provided. Headphones are permitted but participants must remain aware of marshals, Gardaí and other people on the course. Results will be posted after the event and event photos are emailed the Monday following the race. Name changes were allowed up until numbers were allocated on 14 June and refunds are not available.
