15th Annual Clinton Half Marathon
The Clinton Half Marathon takes place in the scenic setting of Clinton, Iowa. The event offers three distinct course lengths:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route begins in historic downtown Clinton on 5th Avenue South. Participants travel along Riverview Drive, which runs parallel to the Mississippi River. The course includes incline sections that lead runners to Eagle Point Park. This portion of the race provides views from a majestic overlook situated at the widest point of the Mississippi River.
Registration is managed online, and the event serves as a fundraiser for the YWCA Clinton. All participants who complete their respective distances receive a finisher medal. Event shirts are guaranteed for the first 500 people who register.
Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers and the top three finishers within various age categories. Age groups range from 9 and under for the 5 km up to 70 and over for all distances. Cash prizes are awarded to the first-place overall male and female finishers in each race category, provided they are present at the ceremony.
