About the race
The Clinton Half Marathon is an annual running event in Clinton, Iowa, hosted by YWCA Clinton. The event offers three distances and runs through parts of the city, including a start on 5th Avenue South in Historic Downtown Clinton. The course travels along Riverview Drive and parallels the Mississippi River, with hill climbs that lead to Eagle Point Park and an overlook of the river. Registration is handled through Race Roster; registrants receive confirmation by the email address they provide. Shirts are guaranteed to the first 500 registered participants. Each finisher receives a finisher medal. Awards are given for overall places and age groups.
Prizes are listed for 1st place overall in each distance: the half marathon awards $100 for men's and women's 1st place, the 10K awards $50, and the 5K awards $25. Awards include 1st through 3rd overall and 1st through 3rd in each age group. Runners must be present at the award ceremony to receive prizes, and participants may decline prize money.
