Cliff Runner 5K
The Sea Cliff Fire Department's annual running event returns with a certified 5 km course through the village of Sea Cliff, New York. The route begins at the Sea Cliff Firehouse and concludes with a section along Sea Cliff Beach. Participants can choose to participate as individual runners or walkers, and there is an option to form teams with friends or family.
Transportation is provided via shuttle buses from the Sea Cliff Yacht Club to the starting line at the fire department. The course covers approximately one square mile of the town, featuring views of the local coastline.
Participants receive several amenities as part of their registration:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- T-shirts for the first 250 registrants
- Personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance
- Live text and email results
- Free finish line photos and video
Following the event, a post-race gathering at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club includes a BBQ for all participants, live music from a local band, a vendor village, and raffles. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three in various age groups ranging from 14 and under to 85 and over. Special award categories also recognize the top three male and female finishers from the Fire, Police, EMS, and Military services.
