Cliff Runner 5K
The Cliff Runner is a 5K road race held in Sea Cliff, New York, with the Sea Cliff Yacht Club listed as the event location at 42 The Boulevard. The course begins at the Sea Cliff Firehouse and follows a certified 5K route through the village, including a stretch along Sea Cliff Beach. Shuttle buses serve the starting line from the Sea Cliff Fire Department.
Event amenities include guaranteed T-shirts for the first 250 runners, raffles, a free post-race BBQ, a vendor village, live music by the Sea Cliff band Chicken Head, live/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance.
Medals are awarded to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups (14 and under; 15-19; then five-year bands from 20-24 through 85+). Additional medal categories recognize the top three male and female Fire, Police, EMS, and Military finishers; these special categories are also eligible for Overall and Age Group awards.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup and last-minute registrants within 24 hours can receive their bib number by text shortly after registration. The event is organized by the Sea Cliff Fire Department, a fully volunteer Fire and EMS department, and proceeds support department services for the village and nearby areas.
