Ohio (Cleveland Area) SCADaddle 5K Walk & Run for Research

The first annual Ohio (Cleveland Area) SCADaddle is a chip timed 5K run and walk held at Longwood Park in Macedonia, Ohio. The course uses a mix of paved pathways and wooded trails within the park and is open to runners and walkers who may proceed at their own pace.

The event raises funds for research into Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, a form of heart attack that affects mostly younger adults and requires further study to identify causes and treatment options.

All participants will be timed and all finishers receive a medal. Awards will be presented to the top three overall men and women and to the top male and top female in the following age categories: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. An opening ceremony takes place before the run, and post-race activities include refreshments, vendors, and a SCAD merchandise area.

Registration information provided by the organizer notes a fee of $45.00, a registration guarantee date for t shirts of October 24, 2026, and that participants who raise at least $1,000 will receive an automatic refund of the registration fee. The event proceeds rain or shine and registrations close on November 7, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
