The event maintains a Charity Program that partnered with local organizations; in 2026 the program reported raising $500,000 for local charities and has raised more than $5 million over the event's history. The organizers also publish course maps, water stop information, pace teams, past results, and rules for participants.
A route redesign introduced in 2026 brought back long straightaways and active cheer zones, a second half along Lake Avenue through Lakewood, and a finish that includes a brief two mile stretch along the shoreway before the final approach through the Hingetown neighborhood to downtown.
