Cleveland Marathon : May 16-17, 2026
The Cleveland Marathon is a multi-event running weekend held May 16 and 17, 2026 in the City of Cleveland. The event began in 1978 to provide a fitness event for the city and now offers several road race options and related weekend activities.

For 2026 the full marathon route was redesigned to reintroduce long straightaways and active cheer zones, with the second half returning along Lake Avenue through Lakewood. The finish was revised to include a roughly two mile stretch along the shoreway followed by a final section through the Hingetown neighborhood into downtown.
Race weekend programming and services include an expo and packet pickup, a shake out run, a 26.3 Mile After Party presented by Miller Lite, hotels and visitor information, parking and public transportation details, course maps and water stops, a pace team and pace chart, and race results and photos. The event maintains a charity program with official charity partners and offers training resources and partner programs. Sponsors for 2026 include University Hospitals, Athletifreak as an apparel partner, and INFINITI of Beachwood as an official automotive sponsor and 10K title sponsor.
