Cleveland Kurentovanje's 8th Annual Kurent Dash takes place on February 14, 2026 in Cleveland, OH. The event is a 5K run or walk hosted at the Slovenian National Home (6417 St Clair Ave.). Chip timing is provided using MyLaps BibTag. The event includes post-race festivities at the Slovenian National Home and entry into the event parade.
Registration and fees
Three registration options are offered: 5K with T-shirt, 5K with Winter Hat, and 5K with Winter Hat and T-shirt. Early bird pricing is available through January 31 and higher fees apply from February 1 through race day. Early bird adult prices are $37 (t-shirt only), $42 (hat only), and $57 (hat and t-shirt); kids 12 and under are $32, $37, and $52 respectively. Regular registration adult prices are $42, $47, and $62; kids 12 and under are $37, $42, and $57. Race-day registration and packet pick-up are available inside the Slovenian National Home. Mailed paper entries and payments must be received by Wednesday, February 4.
Awards and what participants receive
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 & over. Registrations include a race T-shirt; a hat upgrade is available for an additional fee, or both items can be selected for an additional combined fee.
