Event

Cleveland Kurentovanje's 8th Annual Kurent Dash is scheduled for February 14, 2026 in Cleveland, Ohio. The event is a 5K run or walk centered at the Slovenian National Home, 6417 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44103. Timing for the 5K uses MyLaps BibTag chip timing. The event offers three registration options: 5K with a winter hat, 5K with a long sleeve shirt, and 5K with both a winter hat and a long sleeve shirt. Registration opens November 30, 2025.

Registration and fees

Pre-registration fees:

• Adults: $35 (hat), $40 (shirt), $55 (hat and shirt)
• Children 12 and under: $30 (hat), $35 (shirt), $50 (hat and shirt)

Race-day registration fees:

• Adults: $40 (hat), $45 (shirt), $60 (hat and shirt)
• Children 12 and under: $35 (hat), $40 (shirt), $55 (hat and shirt)

Mail-in registration is accepted by check payable to Hermes Sports and Events and mailed to Hermes Sports and Events, 2425 W. 11th St., Suite 2, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.

Awards and participant items

Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 & over. All registrations include a winter hat; a long sleeve T-shirt is available for a $5 upgrade and both items for an additional $20. Participant medals are provided to the first 330 entrants. The event includes one post-race refreshment (choice of beer, shot of Slivo, coffee, or hot chocolate) and entry into the after party and parade.
