The Clarence DeMar Road Race takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026 in South Hero, Vermont. The race starts and finishes at Folsom Elementary School, 75 South St, South Hero, VT 05486. The main event is a certified 5K run on paved streets, described as an out-and-back course on South Street (certified VT19003JK). Entry fees are $25 for pre-registration and $30 for race day; GMAA members receive a $5 discount. Packet pickup is available the day before at Skirack and on race day at Folsom School. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, plus top finishers in each age group and a random drawing. The event benefits the South Hero Rescue Squad. Race rules note that GMAA/insurance policy prohibits running with a baby jogger or a dog, and the use of headphones is strongly discouraged. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers.
