Raine and Horne City to Casino Fun Run and Walk
The City to Casino Fun Run and Walk is a historic road running event held in Tasmania. Established in 1973, it is recognized as the oldest fun run in the state. The event offers various distances that cater to different movement preferences, including options for running and walking. Participants can choose between three distinct course lengths:
- 12 km Run
- 7 km Run and Walk
- 2.7 km Run
Each distance features a different point of origin. The 12 km event begins at MyState Bank Arena, the 7 km event starts at Cornelian Bay, and the 2.7 km event commences at Salamanca. All events are designed to be inclusive, accommodating participants of various ages and abilities. Registration options are available for individual adults, children under 18, and parents participating with prams.
Transportation is coordinated through a bus service that departs from Wrest Point to the various race starting locations. Following the event, return bus services are provided from Wrest Point back to the surrounding area. The event also maintains a partnership with professional photography services for participants to view commemorative photos. Fundraising opportunities are integrated into the event structure to support charitable causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
