Cinco de Mile 5K Fun Run for Mental Health Awareness
The Cinco de Mile 5K Fun Run for Mental Health Awareness takes place in Patton Park, located in the Southwest Detroit area. Organized by Delta Tau Lambda Sorority, Inc., this annual event coincides with local Cinco de Mayo celebrations. The route is designed for both runners and walkers.
The event offers two main registration options:
- 5K Fun Run for Mental Health Awareness
- 5K Fun Run-Econo Participant (No T-Shirt)
Participants in the standard 5K Fun Run receive a registration bag containing various resources and promotions, as well as a commemorative T-shirt featuring Mexican colors. The event is pet-friendly, allowing animals to accompany participants on the course. Packet pickup is conducted on the day of the event at the registration booth within Patton Park.
The event serves to support the local community, as a portion of the proceeds is allocated to mental health programs within Metro Detroit. In addition to the run, the event grounds include a dedicated area for mental health vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
