LULAC Cinco de Mayo 5k Run for Education
The LULAC Cinco de Mayo 5k Run for Education is a community athletic event held in Amarillo, Texas. Organized by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the event aims to generate funds for college scholarships benefiting high school students in the local area. The race is hosted at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The event features two distances:

- 1 mile
The 5 km race is a chipped event timed by the Lonestar Runners Club. Participant recognition includes first-place medals for male and female runners in various age groups. Specialized awards are also provided for overall male and female winners, as well as overall masters male and female categories for participants aged 50 and older.
Registration is available for general participants and students. While race day packet pick-up is available, there are no race day entries permitted for the event. Participants who complete their registration before April 13th, 2026, are eligible to receive an event shirt, limited to the first 75 runners. An early packet pick-up is also scheduled at the Get Fit location on South Georgia Street the day before the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
