Chupacabra 50K
Chupacabra 50K is a multi-distance running event held in Long Beach, California, on September 18, 2027. The event takes place along the beachfront pedestrian path and includes several race distances on the same day.

The 18 Mile and 50K routes follow a six-mile beachfront loop along the Long Beach pedestrian path to Alamitos Beach and back. The 18 Mile is three six-mile loops. The 50K is five six-mile loops plus a 1.07-mile out-and-back section. Ultra distances are subject to a six hour course limit; all 18 Mile and 50K participants must complete their distance within that limit.
Registration opens on September 21, 2026 and closes in May 2027 for the listed events. Registration fees vary by distance, with fees shown between $40 and $85.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, professional chip timing, live race results, free race photos, a fully supported course with water stations, a finish-line celebration with DJ and MC, and overall and age-group awards. Runners, walkers, and friendly dogs are permitted in the 5K and 10K. Participants in the longer distances should be prepared to meet the six hour course requirement.
