Event
Christopher Martin's Christmas Run for Children is a 5K road race held on December 7, 2025 in New Haven, Connecticut. The course is described as flat and runs from Christopher Martin’s Restaurant on Upper State Street to Downtown New Haven and the Wooster Square neighborhood, then back. All participants receive a custom pint glass with their race bib. T-shirts and long-sleeve tech shirts are available for purchase; a limited number of tech shirts are offered.
Logistics and extras
The event includes a post-race party with refreshments, live entertainment, an awards ceremony, and beer for participants aged 21 and over; the festivities will be held outdoors. Early packet pick-up is at Woodbridge Running Co., 7 Landin St., Woodbridge, CT, on the Friday and Saturday before the race. Parking is available on State Street and in nearby off-street locations, including East Street. The race collects toys for local children; donated toys must be unwrapped and can be dropped off at early packet pick-up or at Christopher Martin’s Restaurant. Mail-in entries that include a toy donation must be received by December 1 to qualify for the discounted mail-in registration option. Awards include gift certificates for first overall male and female and gift cards for top finishers in age groups and top non-binary finishers.
