Phoenix : Surrey - Easter Twelve in Twelve Run Series 2027
Phoenix Running and Global Marathon Challenges offer two multi day series in spring 2027: the Ten in Ten from Saturday 20 March 2027 to Monday 29 March 2027, and the Twelve in Twelve from Thursday 18 March 2027 to Monday 29 March 2027. The event base is at Walton on Thames, Surrey, at the Thames Path location near Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive.
Participants choose daily distances that use certified out and back laps along the River Thames. Laps are based on a standard 5.3 km route (3.28 miles) measured and certified by UKA/IAAF. The surface is riverside towpath with no elevation gain or loss.
Available distances include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
Time limits are set by distance: Half Marathon has a 5 hour hard cut off; Marathon a 7 hour hard cut off; Ultra Marathon and timed mixed distance options have 7 to 9 hour hard cut offs. An early start option can extend daily running time to almost 9 hours. The minimum distance for a day is 3.28 miles or the distance covered within the allocated time.
A Double Down option allows running two Half Marathons each day to complete 20 or 24 consecutive Half Marathons across the series. Entry options include a No Medal option. Finishers in Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra categories receive a Global Marathon Challenges technical finishers t shirt and all finishers receive a medal. Those who complete all 10 or all 12 days receive a set of daily Phoenix Lantern medals with distinct names for each day, and specific technical finishers shirts are supplied according to entry choice. Entry fees in the source are listed as £420.00 (Affiliated) and £440.00 (UnAffiliated), and a limited time discount was offered in the source text.
