Event Overview

The ChristianaCare Nurses Week 5K is a 5K run/walk event. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5.

Location & Logistics

The event takes place at Glasgow Park in Newark, Delaware, specifically near the tennis and basketball courts. The start and finish line is closest to the tennis courts. Parking is available near the tennis courts, dog park, or playground.

Participation Details

Registration for the event is free, though donations are encouraged. All donations from the event will go to Nurses House, a nurse-managed nonprofit organization that helps nurses in need across the United States. Participants can register on-site on the day of the event. Bib pickup is located near the tennis courts at Glasgow Park from 5:30 PM until 6:25 PM.

Awards

Awards will be given for overall male and female finishers, as well as overall male and female masters finishers. The top three in each age group for males and females will also receive awards. Age groups are: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
