Chris Kelley Memorial 5K : Hutto, TX

The 11th annual memorial 5K takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Brushy Creek Amphitheater (Adam Orgain Park) in Hutto, Texas, at 1001 County Road 137. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet in Round Rock.

The event honors the life of a detective who was killed in the line of duty 11 years earlier while serving the Hutto Police Department. It is presented as an all-abilities, family-friendly gathering that admits runners, walkers and strollers and will proceed rain or shine. Youth registration covers ages 3 to 18; children under 3 are free.

First responder teams of five can enter a team challenge that awards a trophy for the winning team. Virtual participation is available for those not local. Post-event activities on site include food trucks, sponsors and vendor booths, live music, and children’s activities; attendees are invited to bring blankets or chairs for seating. Event shirts are a new Gildan brand for this year and are described as thicker than the previous year; there is a t-shirt deadline of June 8.
