Chris Kelley Memorial 5K : Hutto, TX
This memorial 5K takes place at Brushy Creek Amphitheater (Adam Orgain Park) in Hutto, Texas. The event moved to this new location because the previous site is under construction and this is the first time the run will be held in the evening.
The event honors the life of a Hutto police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Participants may include runners, walkers and those using strollers. The race is described as all-abilities and family friendly and will run rain or shine. There is a team challenge for first responder teams.
After the 5K there will be food trucks, sponsor and vendor booths, live music and children’s activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on. A virtual participation option is offered; virtual entries include t-shirt shipping while available. T-shirts use the Bella and Canvas brand and are reported to be true to size; the deadline for guaranteed shirts is June 1.
