CHM 5K Teacher Trot
The CHM 5K Teacher Trot is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Raider Park in Rapid City, SD. The course uses the Stevens High School Practice Football Field for the start and finish. Parking is available at 4021 Range Rd and in the Stevens High School parking lot.
The event raises funds to send classroom assistants to Montessori Teacher Training, a two year program that is estimated to cost approximately $15,000 to $20,000 per person. Proceeds support maintaining Montessori credentialed teachers at each classroom level.
Children's House Montessori is a nonprofit school with a 35 year history. The school serves children ages 3 to 12 across two locations in Rapid City. It is a non profit, state accredited school for grades K through 6 and a Department of Social Services licensed facility.
Race day includes distribution of race t-shirts and swag bags. Registration and sponsorship deadlines are listed as September 3, 2026; registration by that date is noted as necessary to receive a race t-shirt. Family-friendly activities on site include bouncy houses and food trucks. Strollers and Striders are welcome and attendees are invited to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair for use at the venue.
