Chisholm Trail Community Color Run
The Chisholm Trail Community Color Run is a community fundraiser held in Park City, Kansas, supporting Chisholm Trail Elementary’s PE department and fine-arts programs. The event features a 5K Color Splash run/walk that follows Park City’s main roads from Chisholm Trail Elementary to Hap-Mclean Park and back, finishing with a post-race color toss celebration. Water tables sponsored by Park City Pride are placed along the route. After the run there are vendors offering treats and eats, inflatable attractions, yard games, and a raffle with prizes from local businesses.
Online registration options include a paid 5K entry with a custom event shirt or a lower-cost 5K entry without a shirt. Shirt orders placed after 9/18 are not guaranteed to be available on race day and may require a secondary pick-up date. Online 5K registrations include an individual color packet; fun-run registrations for kids do not include shirts or color packets. Individual color packets and sunglasses will also be available for purchase at packet pick-up and on the day of the event, by cash or card while supplies last.
Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in elementary, secondary, and adult categories. The kids 100 meter dash is free for elementary-aged participants and will be run in grade-level flights. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
