Children’s Miracle Network Dash and Bash 5K
The event is a 5K run/walk held at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium north lawn in Gainesville, Florida, with the course routed around the University of Florida and passing UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. The course includes uphill and downhill sections and is not flat.
Chip timing is used and each participant is provided a custom chip; official times require that chip. A clock will be visible at the finish and results are posted by the organizer. Water stations are available on the course and at the finish. Qualified emergency medical professionals are available at the start and finish areas.
A post-race bash follows the 5K and includes entertainment, activities, community safety partners, and outreach in conjunction with the Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention & Outreach team to observe National Trauma Awareness Month. Along the route community partners will staff cheer zones.
Awards are given to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers in multiple age groups, and all finishers receive a medal. Shirts are provided to pre-registered participants who meet the organizer's registration deadline, with limited availability for later registrants. Packet pickup is available at UF Health Professional Park and on race day at the race site. Parking is available at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot and garage. The event is rain or shine.
