The Children’s Grief Center Memory 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. The venue is Ascarate Park, specifically the Blue Gill Parking Lot. A Family Fun Festival will be held for two hours around the event.

The event benefits the Children’s Grief Center of El Paso, which provides grief support and therapy services. The activities aim to honor lost loved ones and support those who are grieving.

- 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk
- Couch 5K (virtual)
- 5K Youth (free for the first 100 registrants aged 18 and under)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Youth (free for the first 100 registrants aged 18 and under)
Packet pick-up is available on Friday, March 20, at an Up & Running store, or on race day at the start line.
Post-race activities include refreshments at the finish line, food trucks, games, activities, and booths.
Registration and Awards
The first 600 pre-registered participants receive a race t-shirt. Registration fees are $40 for adults, $25 for youth, with the first 100 youth under 18 registering for free. Team registration for groups of 10 or more costs $30 per person, with a special discount mechanism for early team members.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall finishers. Medals are given to top 5K finishers in male and female age groups spanning from 10 and under to 70 and over. A trophy is also awarded to the largest registered team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
