Chicks on the Run 5K & Honor Walk
Chicks on the Run is a charity running and walking event held at Barleycorn's Brewhouse in Wilder, KY on April 25, 2026. The event supports Chick & Chucks, Inc., which provides resources and financial assistance to breast cancer patients in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati and is marking 20 years of activity.
Event distances
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles on paved roadway surfaces
- 1 Mile Honor Walk - untimed, non competitive
- Virtual Runner/Walker - 3.1 miles completed off site
The 5K is a timed, competitive race with awards for top male and female overall and top male and female in 10-year age divisions (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). A finisher's medal is provided to all who complete the 5K. The Honor Walk is an untimed, one mile walk with a finisher's medal and no competitive awards.
A virtual option allows participants to complete the distance off site; virtual entries receive a mailed finisher's medal and may log results. Dogs on fixed length leashes and strollers are permitted for applicable events.
Additional details include commemorative shirts and honor signs as registration add ons, a VIP package with parking and event benefits, timed race management by RaceRise, a post event celebration at Barleycorn's Brewhouse with food and drink, and a special Peaches and Cream Cream Ale served pink. Overall winners receive Barleycorn's gift card prizes and age group winners receive smaller gift card awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
