Chicks on the Run 5K & Honor Walk
Chicks on the Run takes place in Wilder, KY at Barleycorn's Brewhouse on April 24, 2027, and features in-person and virtual options that raise funds for Chicks & Chucks, Inc., a local breast cancer support organization with a 20 year history of assisting patients and families in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles), timed competitive event
- 1 Mile Honor Walk (1 mile), untimed and noncompetitive
- Virtual Runner/Walker (3.1 miles), remote participation option
The 5K is held on paved roadway surfaces. Awards are planned for top male and female overall and for top male and female in 10-year age divisions. Finisher medals are provided to those who complete the 5K, and a finisher medal is also provided for the Honor Walk. Dogs on fixed length leashes and strollers are permitted for the in-person events.
Additional event details include a post-race celebration at Barleycorn's Brewhouse with food and drink, a special brewed Peaches and Cream beer served pink, commemorative shirts available for $15 and Honor Signs for $20 as registration add-ons, and race timing/management provided by RaceRise. Parking for general admission will be at Frederick's Landing with a free shuttle; a VIP package includes special parking at Barleycorn's.
