Chichester Half Marathon
The Chichester Half Marathon is in its 14th year. The route starts in the heart of Chichester on a part closed road and passes the Cathedral, The Cross and the ancient Roman Walls before moving onto open trails of the South Downs.
The course includes a climb to The Trundle, offering panoramic views across Chichester, Goodwood and the south coast. The second half runs downhill along Centurion Way on a scenic return into the city.
Distances offered include:
- 21k Half Marathon, 231m elevation gain
- 12k Trail Run, 76m elevation gain
- 7 mile route option
- Inclusive Mile available
Terrain consists of rolling hills, woodland paths, open trails and gentle climbs. The event provides chip timing, water stations, drink provision, bib numbers, first aid support, encouraging marshals, finisher goodies, a finishers medal and a personalised certificate. The venue is Chichester College, Westgate Fields, Chichester PO19 1SB.
The event operates a plastic free approach at aid stations and asks participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle for water. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
