Chichester Half Marathon
The Chichester Half Marathon, held in partnership with More Leisure, is now in its 14th year. The part-closed road route starts in the heart of Chichester and runs past city landmarks such as the Cathedral, the Market Cross and the ancient Roman Walls before moving onto the trails of the South Downs.
A notable climb reaches The Trundle, the highest point on the route, offering panoramic views across Chichester, Goodwood, the south coast and the Isle of Wight. The second half descends along Centurion Way for a fast, scenic return into the city.
Route information and files are provided for the main distances, with recorded elevation gains for each mapped option. The event includes on-course support and services such as chip timing, water stations, route signing, course marshals and first aid cover. Finishers receive a metal medal and a certificate.
Distances offered:
- 21k Half Marathon, elevation +231 m
- 12k medium route, elevation +76 m
- Inclusive Mile
Spectators are welcome and the course is marked with clear signage and caution markers at hazards and junctions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
