Chicago Fall Classic Run Fest : Chicago Hot Cider Hustle 5K
The Chicago Hot Cider Hustle 5K is part of the Chicago Fall Classic Run Fest on October 17, 2026. The event runs alongside the Chicago Fall Classic Half Marathon and 10K on the same day. Distances offered include:

The 5K offers chip-timed and fun run categories and has a course time limit of 1 hour 20 minutes. The course is flat, entirely on paved trail, and runs along Chicago’s lakefront. The start and finish are at Montrose Harbor.
Finish-line provisions include hot apple cider, caramel apples, and a finisher mug; a 5K finisher medal is available as an add-on. Commemorative event gear is offered with a choice between a classic t-shirt and a thin-tec hoodie. Water stations are provided on course and a gear check area is available on site; participants must use a clear bag for gear check.
The event supports community engagement and is part of the Run Chicagoland race series. Live participant tracking is available through a tracking app. Awards for the 5K chip-timed category include winner medals for the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group; age groups span from 10 & Under through 70 plus.
