Course and aid station

The course is a 4-mile loop that mixes single-track and double-track trail through restored forest and the Palos Preserves. The route includes rolling hills and some quick runnable sections, and features views near local sites such as the world’s first nuclear reactor location and nearby ponds. A central aid station, called the 7/11 Aid Station, provides water, electrolyte drinks, hot dogs, snacks such as pixie sticks and honey buns, crackers and chips, and runners may bring their own coolers for specific dietary needs.

Logistics and policies

Professional chip timing and live lap counting are provided by ZEN ARCADE TIMING. A GPX of the course is available. The event is cupless; entrants must bring a reusable cup for hot and other drinks. The race has stated diversity and inclusion policies, accepts entrants’ declared gender, and includes criteria for athletes with disabilities (AWD), such as allowance of tethers for visually impaired runners and leg prosthetics, while noting the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Refunds, deferrals, or transfers are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
