Cheyenne Schools Foundation - Run for 1
The Run for 1 is an annual community running event organized by the Cheyenne Schools Foundation. This edition takes place on September 19, 2026 at Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The event welcomes participants who bring dogs and those using mobility aids.
Part of each registration fee is directed to the school the participant selects at registration: the selected school receives $1 for each student registration and $3 for each adult registration. In addition, at each school level—elementary, junior high, and high school—two awards of $500 are available for the general fund: one for the school that raises the most money and one for the school with the highest student participation rate.
Funds that are not allocated to selected schools and awards are used to fund grants for teachers within Laramie County School District #1. The event includes participant categories for adults and students and is presented as an opportunity for local fundraising and community involvement.
