Cheshire Triathlon
The Cheshire Triathlon is held in Nantwich, Cheshire at Barony Park and Nantwich Leisure Centre on Sunday 9th May 2027. The event uses the only remaining heated outdoor brine pool in Great Britain for the swim and features split transitions at Nantwich Leisure Centre and Barony Park.
The race uses a single 21 km bike lap through the Cheshire countryside. The run takes place on grass within Barony Park; the run course is lapped and described as flat. Competitors must wear a cycle helmet for the bike section and are responsible for counting their own swim lengths and bike and run laps. The event is electronically chip timed and all finishers receive an official finisher medal.
Facilities at the park include hot and cold food, refreshments, toilets and a children’s play area. The event is spectator friendly and includes non-competitive and charity waves.
Distances offered:
- Sprint: 500m swim, 21km cycle, 5km run
- Super Sprint / Fun: 200m swim, 21km cycle, 2.5km run
- Sprint Relay: 500m swim, 21km cycle, 5km run
- CRUK Wave: 200m swim, 21km cycle, 2.5km run
Swim pool details: each pool length is 30.5m; Sprint swim is 16 lengths (500m), Super Sprint swim is 6 lengths (200m). Minimum age is 16 years on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
