Cheshire Triathlon
The Cheshire Triathlon takes place at Barony Park and Nantwich Leisure Centre in Nantwich, Cheshire on Sunday 9 May 2027. The event uses the outdoor heated brine pool at Barony Park for the swim, a one-lap 21 km cycle around the South Cheshire countryside, and laps around the park for the run. Transitions are split between Nantwich Leisure Centre and Barony Park.
The event offers multiple race formats and distances:
- Sprint: 500m swim, 21km cycle, 5km run
- Super Sprint: 200m swim, 21km cycle, 2.5km run
- Fun: 200m swim, 21km cycle, 2.5km run
- Sprint Relay: 500m swim, 21km cycle, 5km run
- CRUK Wave (individual and team relay): 200m swim, 21km cycle, 2.5km run
The swim is measured in 30.5 m pool lengths; competitors must count their own lengths and laps. The bike course is one undulating 21 km lap and wearing a cycle helmet is compulsory. The run course is lapped and described as flat. Timing is electronic chip timing and all finishers receive an official medal.
The event includes a non-competitive #TriTogether wave and a CRUK charity wave for fundraising; UK Triathlon donates £10 from each CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK.
