Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races
The Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races is a community running event in Cheshire, Connecticut on April 12, 2026. The event is limited to 2,000 participants and is organized to follow state and local health protocols. The foundation operating the event is based in Connecticut.

The half marathon course is described as flat and fast, running through Cheshire and Hamden with considerable stretches along the historic Farmington Canal Trail. Medals are awarded to half marathon finishers. The 5K route runs through scenic Cheshire neighborhoods, features few turns and a flat profile. Kids Fun Runs take place on the track and ribbons are awarded to all finishers.
The event features a Healthy Living Festival where companies and local businesses exhibit products and services related to health and activity. The race program also includes live music, technical shirts and post-race food and drink. The event raises funds for local charities including Abilities Without Boundaries, Best Buddies CT and the Cheshire Lions Club, and has given more than $1,000,000 to charities and other causes in its history.
