Cheryls Run for Aplastic Anemia

Cheryls Run for Aplastic Anemia is an annual run/walk held at Laurier Park in Edmonton. All funds raised support the Awasisak Indigenous Health Program at the Stollery Children's Hospital. A virtual participation option is offered for those who cannot attend in person.

Offered distances:

  • 10 km run
  • 5 km run/walk
  • 2 km kids run (approximate)

Children may choose the 5 km route or an approximately 2 km loop. Registered participants receive event swag; those registered by a specified deadline are guaranteed their items. Virtual participants living outside the province will have swag mailed to them.

On-site amenities include lunch served by The Purple Perogy, finish-line cookies from Cookies by George, a non-alcoholic beer from SYC Brewery, and complimentary post-event massages by Pursuit of Motion Physiotherapy. Kids receive a pass to Hide 'n Seek and additional items. Fundraising prizes are offered; the top fundraiser wins a trip for two from Edmonton to Yellowknife. Team registration is available and course maps are provided.

Race kit pick-up is available at Rabbit Hill Running Room (5029 Mullen Road, Edmonton) or on event morning. The event also promotes blood donation and connects with Canadian Blood Services for donor registry information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
