Event Details
The Cherry Pit 10 Miler is a road race in Edgewater, Maryland, scheduled for April 12, 2026. It serves as the second leg of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series.
Course & Requirements
The course is an open road route that starts and finishes behind South River High School on Central Avenue. It follows the original Cherry Pit course with scenic rolling hills and shares the road with traffic on Route 2. Course monitors will be present at intersections.
To participate, runners must be able to maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile. The event is open to participants aged 13 to 100. The use of headphones, strollers, rollerblades, and pets is prohibited for safety.
Registration & Logistics
The standard entry fee is $15, with a discounted fee of $10 for Annapolis Striders members. If available, race day registration costs $25. Packet pickup and potential race day registration occur from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM.
On-Course Support & Awards
Three water stations on the course will provide water and Gatorade. Runners are advised to consider carrying their own hydration. Official results will be posted online after the race. Awards will be given to female and male participants in the following categories: first overall, first Masters, and within 10-year age groups.
