Event Overview
Cheltenham Tri in the Park is an off-road super-sprint triathlon held in Cheltenham's Pittville Park. The event includes separate races for juniors and adults and is organized by Cheltenham Triathlon Club.
Course Details
The event features an indoor pool swim followed by an off-road bike and run segment within the park. For adults (and youth aged 15-16), the distances are a 400m swim, a 10km cycle (5 laps), and an approximately 2.5km run (single lap). An off-road, mountain, or hybrid bike is recommended. For juniors, the course is completely off-road and flat, with distances varying by age group (Tristar Start to Tristar 3). Youth competitors race the adult course.
Participant Information
The adult event is limited to 100 competitors, and the junior event often sells out. All participants require a valid British Triathlon Race Pass, which can be purchased with entry. Age groups are based on the competitor's age on 31 December 2026. All finishers receive a medal. Age group trophies are awarded for male and female winners in each BTF category for adults, and certificates/trophies for juniors.
