Chatham Sweetcorn Shuck n' Run 5K
The Chatham Jaycees Sweetcorn Shuck n' Run 5K is scheduled for July 18, 2026 at Chatham Community Park, 700 S. Main Street, Chatham, IL 62629. The event is a 5-kilometer road race (3.1 miles) held as part of the Sweetcorn Festival.
Registration opens April 2, 2026 at 10:00 and closes July 14, 2026 at 08:50. The registration fee is $35.00. Packet pickup is available Friday, July 17 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sweetcorn Festival at Chatham Community Park, with limited pickup the morning of the race from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
Proceeds support Chatham Jaycees community projects. The organizer will donate $10 per runner to the Chatham Chargers Special Olympics team and to the Chatham Library for its Children’s Area and Backyard. Last year the event raised $6,000 for the Backyard at the Library.
Participants may receive event shirts while supplies last and all participants receive finisher medals. Awards are presented after the race, with top male and female finishers recognized in each age division: 11 and under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and up.
