Chasing Dreams 5K Run/2M Walk
This event is a memorial 5K run and 2 mile walk at McDade Park in Scranton, Pennsylvania, held to benefit a memorial scholarship fund created after a death in June 2024. It includes a children’s fun run for ages 0 to 10 with same-day registration only.
Distances:
- 5K Run : 3.1 miles
- 2M Walk : 2 miles
- Kids Fun Run : ages 0 to 10, same-day registration only
Registration for the main events opens on June 2, 2026 and closes on September 9, 2026. The registration fee for each main event is $25.00. Same-day registration is available on the morning of the event. Packet pick-up will be available on the morning of the event for pre-registered participants.
Awards are given to overall male and female runners, overall male and female walkers, and age group winners for runners. Age group awards for runners include 0–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over, with first, second, and third place for male and female in each group.
