Route and race logistics

The 104-mile course starts in Dufton and follows the Pennine Way, then the Teesdale Way, joining the King Charles III Coastal Path and the Cleveland Way for the final 6 miles, finishing at Skinningrove. The 50-mile event follows the second half of the 104-mile route, starting at Croft-on-Tees and finishing at Skinningrove. The CB100 has over 6000 ft of elevation; the CB50 has about 1709 ft.

The CB100 includes 10 checkpoints; the CB50 has at least 4 checkpoints. Checkpoints provide water and snacks at all locations, with hot and cold meals at selected indoor checkpoints. Support runners may join a participant after the second checkpoint on the CB100, and from the start on the CB50. Unsupported entrants must show prior completion of a 50-mile event or equivalent. First aid and bag-drop facilities are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
