Charm Bracelet 50 and 100
The Charm Bracelet events offer two long distance trail ultra options.
- 104 miles Dufton to Skinningrove along the Pennine Way, Teesdale Way, King Charles III Coastal Path and Cleveland Way
- 50 miles Croft-on-Tees to Skinningrove following the second half of the longer route
The 104 mile course includes over 6,000 feet of ascent. The 50 mile course has substantially less elevation and fewer checkpoints. The 104 mile event has ten checkpoints and the 50 mile event has four checkpoints, with water and snacks available at all checkpoints and hot or cold food at selected indoor checkpoints. Pie and mash is offered at the finish to address dietary requirements.
Both courses are fully tracked with GPS so progress can be followed. Support runners are permitted from the second checkpoint, around 20 miles into the 104 mile route, and from the start of the 50 mile route. Relay teams may enter with two to four runners and must arrange their own transport between changeovers. Unsupported entrants must show prior completion of a 50 mile event or more at point of entry.
Organisers provide first aid, a bag drop at several checkpoints, and tail runners to support finishers. Cutoff times are 40 hours for the 104 mile course and 20 hours for the 50 mile course. Spectators are restricted at checkpoints due to parking limits. A race permit is held for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
