Event overview

The Charm Bracelet Trail Events runs two long-distance trail races on 2–4 October 2026. Distances offered include:

  • 50 miles
  • 100 miles

Entry includes a finishers medal, t-shirt, food and drinks, and a GPS tracker. Solo entry fees listed are £190 for the 100-mile event and £90 for the 50-mile event. Relay entries are allowed for the longer race with teams of 2 to 4 and a team fee of £240. Minimum age to enter is 20. The event offers an option to plant a tree instead of taking a finisher t-shirt and aims to avoid single-use plastics.

Route and logistics

The 100-mile race starts in Dufton and follows established long-distance trails, including the Pennine Way, the Teesdale Way, the King Charles III Coastal Path, and the Cleveland Way for the final section. The shorter race follows the second half of that route, starting at Croft-on-Tees and finishing in Skinningrove. The 100-mile course includes over 6,000 ft of elevation; the 50-mile course lists about 1,709 ft. The 100-mile event has 10 checkpoints; the 50-mile event has at least 4 checkpoints. Hot and cold food, snacks and water are provided at checkpoints, and pie and mash is offered at the finish for dietary requirements. Support runners may join from around the second checkpoint on the 100-mile course and from the start on the 50-mile course. Cut-off times are 40 hours for the 100 and 20 hours for the 50. First aid will be available and bag drop facilities are provided at several checkpoints. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
