About the race

Charlie's Loop Melbourne 2026 is a community running event in Collingwood, Victoria, held on Saturday 12 September 2026 and based at Ageyo Coffee on Easey Street. The main event is a 34 km community run that is organised to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health and to support the Black Dog Institute.

The event is presented by Smls Goods and is described as a non-competitive community experience focused on connection, remembrance and mutual support. Participants may run the full 34 km or take part as supporters; the event does not set expectations for pace or finishing order.

An optional 100 km challenge runs during the week before the community event, allowing participants to complete the distance between Sunday 6 September and Friday 11 September, at their own pace and broken into segments. Runners who take on the 100 km challenge can upload their activities to the official PAIN Strava Club.

The Melbourne edition is one of three concurrent city events, alongside editions in Edinburgh and Cape Town. Event details note in-person attendance, free parking at the venue, a refund policy that allows refunds up to seven days before the event, and that the event supports broader efforts to improve youth mental health access across Australia. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
