Charleston Distance Run
The Charleston Distance Run takes place September 4–5, 2026 in Charleston, West Virginia. The event uses the area around the West Virginia State Capitol at 1900 Kanawha Blvd East as the start location and finishes at the University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field.
The event program includes several race options:
- 15 Mile Race
- 3‑Person 15‑Mile Relay, with 3, 5, and 7 mile segments
- 5K Run/Walk
- Children's Fun Run free for children under 12
The 15 mile course passes through downtown Charleston, moves through hillside neighborhoods, and follows the riverfront; it is described as scenic with rolling climbs. The 5K course is described as flat and fast. The relay uses the same 15 mile course broken into three segments for team entry.
