The route goes through downtown Charleston, hillside neighborhoods, across the South Side Bridge, and along the riverfront. The relay exchanges occur in the middle of the South Side Bridge; participants must arrange their own transport to exchange points.
Aid stations with water and Gatorade are placed approximately every one to two miles on both the 15-mile and 5K courses; the 15-mile course has 12 stations plus start and finish stations. Portajohns are available at the start area and along the 15-mile course. All events are timed using a one-time-use timing strip on the back of each bib; both chip and gun times are provided. There is a four-hour time limit for the 15-mile race. Baby strollers are allowed only in the 5K; pets are not permitted. Free parking is available at the State Capitol and at Laidley Field. Showers are available at Laidley Field until 11:00 a.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
