Charleston Distance Run
The Charleston Distance Run takes place Friday September 3 to Saturday September 4, 2027, in Charleston, West Virginia. The event centers on a 15 mile road race that begins at the West Virginia State Capitol and finishes at the University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field, and the course passes through downtown, hillside neighborhoods, and along the riverfront. The organizer describes the 15 mile route as scenic but challenging.
The event also offers shorter options and team formats on the same course. Relay teams of three divide the 15 mile course into segments of 3, 5, and 7 miles. A separate flat 5K run/walk is provided, and there is a children's fun run.
Event location details list the start address at 1900 Kanawha Blvd, East, Charleston, WV 25305. Additional event information sections include course maps, timing and results, prizes and awards, a participant guide, and historical race results.
