The event takes place in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 3 and 4, 2027, with activities centered on Kanawha Boulevard and the State Capitol area. The main 15 mile course begins at the State Capitol, continues through downtown and hillside neighborhoods, and runs along the riverfront. The 5K run/walk uses a flat course.

- 5K
- 0.5 Miles (children's run distances vary by age)
The three person 15 mile relay divides the course into legs of approximately 3 miles, 5 miles, and 7 miles. The 5 mile leg is in the hills, while the 3 and 7 mile legs are mostly flat. Each relay participant must register and pay an entry fee, and the first registrant is responsible for setting up the team.
The Children's Fun Run is a free event sponsored by the City of Charleston Department of Parks and Recreation for children ages 4 to 12. Race lengths vary by age group: ages 4 to 6 run about one quarter mile; ages 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 run about a half mile. All children's races take place on Kanawha Boulevard between Court and Capitol Streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
