About the race
The Chariots of Fire Beach Race is a popular 5km out-and-back running event held on the iconic West Sands beach in St Andrews. Celebrating the famous film "Chariots of Fire," the race invites runners to experience the scenic flat course on sand and surf, with the option to run barefoot through the waves. The event also features a 1-mile fun run for children aged 11 and under.
Participants enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with music, a piper at the turnaround, and post-race treats including a limited edition race beer and the famous Fisher and Donaldson fudge doughnut.
